HAPPY NEW YEAR! (CHEERS TO YOU!)
Please enjoy what we at George Nipson Productions consider to be the absolute best existing song about purely wishing everyone a very HAPPY NEW YEAR. Written by Mark Horn on January 1, 2000, with the intention of being a kind of Happy Birthday song for everyone in the world each January 1. This wonderful song was finally recorded professionally at VRS Studio in Ocoee, FL in the fall of 2023. Mark Horn provided vocals, guitars, bass, ukulele and keyboards to this song that he wrote and produced. Mark’s wife Linda and daughter Dana joined in on the countdown and choruses. I LA-LA-LA-LA LIKE IT
This little ditty was born in 2022 out of the love of a very funky groove that was idling in Mr. Horn’s collection of audio sketches for some time. One day, a lyric sparked into a blaze and this sweet slice of joy came into the world. Besides composing the song and singing it, Mark played guitars, keyboards and bass. Linda – Mark’s wife – very rarely joins him in the studio, so this is a rare treat in that regard. This song is a fusion of pop stylings, which is very typical for this artist, and is why so many find his music refreshing. Enjoy! (recorded at VRS Studio, Ocoee, FL in 2024)
MERRY CHRISTMAS, MARY
George Nipson Productions is proud to follow up Happy New Year! (Cheers To You!) with this delightful song that combines the excitement of a romantic wedding proposal with the warmth of the Christmas spirit. Mark Horn provided vocals, guitars, bass, ukulele and keyboards to this song that he wrote in 2014 and finally produced at VRS Studio in Ocoee, FL in 2023.
MY FIRST CHRISTMAS WITH YOU
This song was written for Mark’s wife Linda, and it was his gift to her on their first Christmas together in 1980 – the year they met. The original recording was done on a Teac Portastudio (4 track cassette), and the song made its way to the Olympia, WA airwaves via radio station KGY for many years (thanks to the late disc jockey, Carl Cook). Mark Horn provided vocals, guitars, bass, ukulele, and keyboards when finally produced this recording at VRS Studio in Ocoee, FL in 2023.
